If your job includes frequent testing of Gigabit Ethernet links and Power over Ethernet (PoE) ports that supply power to Voice over IP (VoIP) phone systems, then you need the BLACK BOX® Veri-Net VoIP.

This advanced tester offers Gigabit-over-copper-link testing as well as VoIP/PoE detection. It even measures the voltage supplied by the VoIP or PoE port to ensure that it’s adequate.

In addition to verifying whether there’s correct power, the Veri-Net VoIP also detects and transmits Link signals, testing the VoIP or PoE port to determine the speed and duplex mode. If there’s a duplex mismatch between equipment ports, you’ll know it.

And, so you can accurately map your network, the tester enables you to identify which port on a connected hub or switch corresponds to a particular wall outlet.

Just insert the Veri-Net VoIP’s plug end into the RJ-45 port of a hub, switch, network interface card (NIC), or wall outlet and press its TEST button. The tester then begins scanning the wire pairs for voltage. An included RJ-45 coupler enables you to attach the tester to a UTP or an STP cable.
